Most effect plugins offer far more control than can comfortably be used with a mouse. Adjusting several parameters together often requires multiple automation lanes or hardware controllers, making it difficult to explore sounds in a natural way. TouchMod FX offers a different approach.
TouchMod FX turns an iPad or Windows touchscreen into a multitouch controller for the VST3 effects you already own. Whether you use delays, reverbs, filters, modulation effects, distortion, dynamics processors or creative multi-effects, you can shape up to eight plugin parameters simultaneously with simple finger movements.
Instead of assigning MIDI controllers, TouchMod FX communicates directly with VST3 plugin parameters. Move a control in your effect once and it is immediately available on the touch surface, allowing you to build custom control layouts within minutes.
Controlling several parameters together makes it easier to discover new sounds and perform smooth, evolving effect changes in real time. Morph between delay settings, reshape reverbs, combine filter and modulation movements or create complex transitions that would be difficult to perform with a mouse alone.
If you already own an iPad, you already have a capable multitouch controller. The TouchMod app, available on the Apple App Store, connects wirelessly to TouchMod FX, while Windows users can run the same touch interface directly on a touchscreen. The control surface can also be placed on a separate display, leaving your DAW and effect windows visible on the main monitor.
TouchMod FX can record your finger movements and replay them as looping automation. Playback speed and movement amplitude can be adjusted in real time, allowing recorded gestures to evolve and become part of the creative process.

Essession has released TouchMod FX, a Windows VST3 plugin that gives musicians and producers a new way to control the effect plugins they already own. By using an iPad or Windows touchscreen as a multitouch controller, TouchMod FX makes it possible to manipulate up to eight effect parameters simultaneously with natural finger movements.
Modern effect plugins often provide dozens of controls, but combining several parameter changes in real time can be difficult with a mouse or conventional hardware controllers. TouchMod FX makes it easier to perform expressive filter sweeps, evolving reverbs, delay transitions and other complex effect changes with simple multitouch gestures.
Many musicians already own an iPad or touchscreen, but rarely use it as a controller for effect plugins. TouchMod FX transforms these devices into dedicated multitouch control surfaces, making hands-on sound shaping part of the creative process.
